ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for issue of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioner, wherein the petitioner is seeking for transfer of patta in her name with respect to the subject property.

2. Heard Mr.M.Raja Sekhar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.D.Ravichander, learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondent.

3. The case of the petitioner is that she has purchased the subject property by virtue of registered sale deed dated 14.07.2003, registered as Doc.No.965 of 2003. There was some disturbances from rival parties and hence, a suit came to be filed in O.S.No.6 of 2006 on the file of District Munsif Court, Mettur. A compromise was arrived at between the parties and based on the compromise, a decree was passed on 31.03.2006. The petitioner agreed to allot a pathway to an extent of 68 sq.ft., thereby, the total extent of the petitioner's property was 2/4

reduced to 1,021 sq.ft., out of 1,089 sq.ft. The patta also stands in the name petitioner's vendor. The petitioner submitted an application on 26.09.2025 seeking for transfer of patta in her same. Since the same was not acted upon, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to the respondent to deal with the application dated 26.09.2025, on its own merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If there are other interested parties, notice shall be served on them, before the final order is passed.
