Respondent Prayer : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to disburse the Arrears of Surrender Leave salary for the year of 2009-2012 and 2017-2018 and VRS compensation with effect from 22.4.2022 within the stipulated time as may be fixed by this Honble court.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction, directing the respondent to to disburse the arrears of Surrender Leave salary for the year of 2009-2012 and 2017-2018 and VRS compensation with effect from 22.4.2022 within the stipulated time as may be fixed by this Honble court.

2.The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that the eligible amount will be paid to the petitioner within a reasonable time as may be fixed by this Court.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that, 2/6

in all the connected matters, this Court has consistently allowed the payment with interest at the rate of 6% per annum.

4. In view of the above, the respondent is directed to disburse the arrears of Surrender Leave salary for the years 2009-2012 and 2017-2018, and the VRS compensation, in accordance with the 12(3) Settlement and the petitioner's eligibility under the Rules. The said amount shall be paid to the petitioner within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, along with interest at the rate of 6% per annum from the date on which the amount became due, till the date of disbursement.

5.With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
