This application has been filed under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (Act No.26 of 1996) seeking to extend the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal for a period of three months to enable the sole arbitrator to deliver the arbitral award.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the applicant and the learned counsel for the respondent.
3. It is brought to the notice of this Court that oral arguments have been completed and written submissions have also been filed and the Arbitral Tribunal has to pass final award.
4. In the light of the above submission, the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal is extended for a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, for passing the final award.
