PRAYER : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the 1st respondent, Commissioner, Greater Chennai Corporation and the 2nd respondent Assistant Commissioner, Zone 10, to take effect of the reply notice dated 13.01.2025 and immediately remove the illegal encroachments and prevent the misuse of the parking.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard.

2. This public interest litigation seeks to raise an issue regarding parking and traffic problem.

3. The matter is required to be examined by the local authorities of the Corporation. Issues relating to parking are matters which should be dealt with appropriately by the authorities.

4. The writ petition is, accordingly, closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
