O R D E R

The present Writ Petition (Criminal) has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to provide necessary police protection to the petitioner for carrying on agricultural operations in his land comprised in S.No.539/3 and another extent of 1.11 acres in S.No.539/4A, Pichavakkam Village, Sriperumbudur Taluk, by considering his representation dated 11.10.2025.

Mr.K.M.D.Muhilan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, takes notice on behalf of respondents 1 and 2. In view of the consent expressed by the learned counsel on either side, this Writ petition (Criminal) is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. Notice to the third respondent is dispensed with, inasmuch as no order prejudicial to his interest is passed. 4.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has succeeded before the civil Court and despite the same, the third respondent is causing unnecessary disturbance to the petitioner in carrying on agricultural activities. Hence, the petitioner sent a representation 2/5

dated 11.10.2025 to the respondent police seeking police protection. Since no action has been taken on the said representation, the present petition has been filed.

Learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for respondents 1 and 2 submitted that the representation of the petitioner would be enquired into and an appropriate decision would be taken with regard to providing police protection.

Recording the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Writ Petition (Criminal) stands disposed of with a direction to the second respondent police to conduct an enquiry by issuing notice to all the interested parties, including the third respondent and to take a decision on the petitioner's representation dated 11.10.2025, in accordance with law, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
