The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 30.09.2025, for the offence punishable under Sections 8(c) r/w 20(b)(ii)(B), 25 and 29(1) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances, Act, 1985, in Crime No.349 of 2025, registered on the file of the 1/4

respondent, seeks bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with other accused were found to be in illegal possession of 1,300 kgs of Ganja and 41 numbers of Tapentadol tablets. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is innocent and has been falsely implicated in this case. He further submitted that the petitioner is ready and willing to abide by any conditions that may be imposed by this Court hence, he prays to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent police while opposing the anticipatory bail to the petitioner reiterated the prosecution case and submitted that there are totally 3 accused in this case, and the petitioner is ranked as A1. He further submitted that the petitioner has five previous cases, and that the investigation in this case is still pending.

5. Considering the gravity of the offences and bad antecedents of the petitioner, this Court is of the considered view that granting bail to the petitioner may result in petitioner involve in similar offences hence, it is not a fit case to grant bail.
