ORDER
The petitioner seeks a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representations dated 18.02.2020 and 25.09.2025 and fix a time limit to issue snake bite compensation to the petitioner.

It is the case of the petitioner that his mother was bitten by a snake in the wee hours of 09.04.2015, she was taken to Government Hospital, Tiruvallur, as she was in a critical condition, the chief doctor advised the petitioner to take his mother to Rajiv Gandhi Government Hospital, Chennai, accordingly she was taken to Rajiv Gandhi Governmnt Hospital, but she passed away on the same day. Hence, the petitioner applied for compensation under the Chief Minister's Farmer Security Scheme along with relevant documents.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that after conducting enquiry, Revenue Inspector and Village Administrative Officer submitted their reports on 29.10.2015 and 02.11.2015 respectively and Tahsildar, Tirvuallur also sent recommendations to the Revenue Divisional Officer, Tiruvallur on 02.12.2016 and Revenue Divisional Officer subsequently sent recommendation to the District Collector, Tiruvallur on 17.07.2017 and the District Collector, Tiruvallur sent a letter dated 02.01.2018 to the first respondent directing the first 2 / 4
respondent to issue benefits to the petitioner, but till date compensation has not been paid. Though petitioner sent several letters and made visits to second and third respondents office, the respondents have not paid the compensation amount, hence the present writ petition.

In view of the limited relief sought by the petitioner, this Court directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representations dated 18.02.2020 and 25.09.2025 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
The writ petition stands disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
