This Writ Petition has been filed for direction directing the first respondent to treat the petitioner as an in-service candidate and grant 20% Department Quota in the Recruitment of Sub-Inspector of Police (Taluk and AR) - 2025.

2. Heard the learned counsel for both sides and perused the materials available on record.

3. The petitioner is working as Head Constable in the Unit of Police Training Headquarters, Chennai from 01.11.2017.
