PRAYER; This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 3rd Respondent to effect the electricity service connection of the Petitioners property situated in S.F.NO.208/8 at Pappankulam village, Udumalpet Taluk purchased from Kalimuthu as per the petitioners application dated 10.10.2025 within time stipulated by this Honble court.

ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 3rd Respondent to effect the electricity service connection of the Petitioners property situated in S.F.NO.208/8 at Pappankulam village, Udumalpet Taluk purchased from Kalimuthu as per the petitioners application dated 10.10.2025

It is the case of the petitioner that one Kalimuthu has filed suit before the District Munsif Court, Udumalpet in O.S.No.233/2007 for permanent injunction in respect of the subject property against the petitioner's parents and the same was allowed on 16.03.2011. Against the same, the petitioners parents have filed appeal and the same was dismissed on 29.08.2011. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner's parents filed appeal before this Court and the same was allowed on 18.04.2023. Challenging the same, the said Kalimuthu filed SLP

before Hon'ble Apex Court and the same was dismissed on 30.10.2023. After dismissal of the SLP, the petitioner decided to obtain electricity connection from the respondents for the subject property, for which, the petitioner made representation on 10.10.2025 for getting electricity connection and the same is not considered. Hence, the present writ petition.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court may direct the respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioners representation within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

4. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the representation will be considered and orders will be passed within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

5. Heard the learned counsel for both side and perused the materials available on record.

6. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and in view of the limited request sought for by the petitioner, this court directs the respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 10.10.2025 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of.
