This Contempt case is listed for reporting compliance.

2. The learned Additional Advocate General appearing on behalf of the respondents submits that the order of this Court dated 04.04.2014 in W.P.No.25702 of 2011 has now been implemented by the respondent by issuing G.O.(D).No.31 Human Resources Management (Q2) Department dated 02.03.2026, whereby the petitioner has been granted notional promotion from the date when his junior was promoted.

3. By submitting as above, the learned Additional Advocate General has placed before this Court a copy of the aforementioned Government Order dated 02.03.2026, which is taken on record.

4. Since, the respondents by the Government Order have now implemented the order of this Court dated 04.04.2014 by granting promotion to the petitioner along with others, by relaxing the condition of six years of service as Assistant Section Officer being the prescribed qualification for promotion as Section Officer as per the Special Rules of Tamil Nadu 2/4

General Service, this Court is of the view that the respondents have complied with the aforementioned order of this Court in W.P.No.25702 of 2011.

5. Since, respondents have now implemented the order of this Court by issuing the aforementioned Government Order, it is needless to mention that the respondents shall take further follow up action of granting monetary benefits due to the petitioner by revising the pension payment of the petitioner, as it is stated that the petitioner had retired from service.
