(Order of the Court was made by P.VELMURUGAN, J.) This Contempt Petition has been filed alleging wilful disobedience of the order dated 06.09.2024 passed in M.C.No.69 of 2022 by the learned I Additional Principal Judge, Family Court, Chennai
2. When the matter was taken up for hearing on 04.02.2026, the contemnor paid a sum of Rs.4,50,000/- by way of Demand Draft bearing No.000749 dated 03.02.2026 drawn on HDFC Bank, Periyar Nagar, Chennai, in favour of the first petitioner. The contemnor has also undertaken to pay the balance arrears on or before 18.02.2026. In view of the same, this Court directed the matter to be posted for reporting compliance on 19.02.2026.
3. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the contemnor submitted that the contemnor has paid the balance arrears amount of Rs.9,22,934/- by way of Demand Draft bearing No.000713 dated 18.02.2026 drawn on HDFC Bank, in favour of the first
petitioner. It was further submitted that the said Demand Draft has been handed over to the learned counsel for the petitioners, who acknowledged receipt of the same.
