ORDER

The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 06.03.2024 for the offences punishable under Sections 8(c) r/w 20(b)(ii)(C) and 29(1) of NDPS Act, 1985, in Crime No.117 of 2024, registered on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2. This Court has earlier dismissed the bail application of the petition with a condition directs the Trial Court to complete the trial as expeditiously as possible within a period of four months in Crl.O.P.No.5244 of 2025 by order dated 07.04.2025. This is a successive bail application and this Court is also call for report from the trial Court regarding the status of the Court and it has been received by the Court. The learned trial Judge has stated that as already P.W.1 to P.W.4 were examined. After completion of evidence of P.W.4 since a counsels have not come forward to cross examine the witnesses. Further already upto P.W.4 is also examined the trial is already progressing, the letter of the trial Judge is also indicates that the Court also addressed to the District Legal Services Authority, Coimbatore for engaging counsel, to conduct the case the said process also going on.

3. Considering the above report, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.
