This Writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the first respondent to consider the representation submitted by the petitioners seeking monetary benefits on the demise of the petitioners' son. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the first respondent. Perused the materials available on record.

3.The petitioners' son was employed in the first respondent Corporation. While he was in service, he died on 04.11.2023. The petitioners have sought terminal benefits consequent upon the demise of their son.

4.Admittedly, the petitioners' son got married and leaving behind his wife and children as his legal heirs along with the petitioners. Therefore, the death-cum-retirement benefits cannot be granted to the petitioners, since the deceased son had already nominated his wife as nominee to receive the terminal benefits.

5.In view of the above, the representation submitted by the petitioners cannot be considered. Thus, the writ petition lacks merit and is liable to be dismissed. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. However, the petitioners are at liberty to approach the civil Court for appropriate relief. No costs.
