ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking for a direction to the 3 rd respondent herein to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 22/08/2025 in accordance with law.

2.The case of the petitioners is that the petitioner is the Association of Medical Practitioners, duly registered under the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act. The members of the Petitioner are qualified and have completed with graduation either in BMS, CMP or Diploma in medicinal subjects from the respective institutions recognised by the Central Medical Council of India. Though the petitioner had requested and made representation to the respondents to register the petitioner's members' names and qualifications in the rolls of Medical Practitioners in the Tamil Nadu State Medical Practitioners. As on this date, the above said representation dated 22.08.2025 remains unattended by the respondents. Hence, the present writ petition. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court may direct the third respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's

representation within a stipulated time as fixed by this Court. 4.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 2 and 3 would submit that unless the course studied by the petitioners is recognised by the Tamil Nadu Medical Council or the National Medical Council, the prayer sought by the petitioner cannot be granted. Hence, he prays for dismissal of the present writ petition.

5.Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

6.It is seen that the course studied by the petitioners has not been recognised by the Tamil Nadu Medical Council or the National Medical Council and in the absence of the same, the third respondent is not the competent authority to legalise or register the certificate obtained by the members of the petitioner association. In view of the same, the writ petition is liable to be dismissed.

7.Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
