ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to issue a legal heirs certificate in favour of the petitioner pursuant to petitioner's application dated 16.10.2025.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that since the petitioner's husband died, the petitioner had applied for a legal heir certificate for the purpose of educating her son, through online before the third respondent on 10.06.2024, but, the same was rejected. Hence, she has filed an appeal before the second respondent on 16.10.2025, however, the same has not been considered so far. Challenging the inaction, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the case, this Court directs the respondents to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner dated 16.10.2025 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after issuing notice to the petitioner and also affording her an opportunity of personal hearing, within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
