ORDER

This petition is filed to modify the conditions "6(b) the Petitioner shall deposit a sum of Rs.5,00,000/- (Rupees Five Lakhs only) before the XXIII Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Chennai in Crime No.175 of 2025" imposed to the petitioner in Crl.M.P.No.10455 of 2025 in Crime No.175 of 2025 before Hon'ble Principal Sessions Judge, Chennai its order dated 30.10.2025.

2. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that there is no voluntary submissions made from petitioner to deposit the amount of Rs.5,00,000/- by the Principal Sessions Judge, Chennai and however, on perusal of the allegations it revealed that by pawning fake jewels for Rs.10,63,000/-, the petitioner herein cheated the defacto complainant. Hence I am of the view that, this condition is not onerous condition imposed while granting bail.

3. Considering the submission of learned counsel for the petitioner, the bail granted to the petitioner by directing the petitioner to deposit a sum of 2/4

Rs.5,00,000/- is reasonable. However, considering the fact that the order of the bail petition is on 30.10.2025, and the petitioner is still in custody, this Court is inclined to modify the condition as follows:

"The petitioner is directed to deposit a sum of Rs.3,50,000/- (Rupees Three Lakhs Fifty Thousand only) before the XXIII Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Chennai in Crime No.175 of 2025"

4. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is ordered. 11.11.2025 rna To 1.The XXIII Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Chennai. 2.The Principal Sessions Judge (Sessions Division) at Vellore. 3.The Inspector of Police, R-7 K.K.Nagar Police Station, Chennai.
