O R D E R
This Writ Petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents not to interfere with the business of the petitioner's Tea Shop namely "Kumari Durai Coffee Shop" located at No.06, Imperial Road Cuddalore Port, Cuddalore District - 607 003 during late night hours by considering the representation dated 08.10.2025.
2. Mr.R.Vinothraja, learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) takes notice on behalf of the respondents. In view of the consent expressed by the learned counsel on either side, this writ petition (Criminal) is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 2/7

The case of the petitioner is that he is the proprietor of a small tea shop running under the name of "Kumari Durai Coffee Shop" at No.06,Imperial Road Cuddalore Port, Cuddalore District - 607 003. The petitioner has not violated any rules or regulations and holding all necessary local trade and food licenses. However, the respondents and their subordinates are frequently interfering and threatening to close the shop during late night hours. The petitioner is duly authorised and legally holding a valid Registration Certificate issued by the Government of Tamil nadu, Food Safety Wing, pursuant to the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006. The petitioner gave representation on 08.10.2025 to the respondents requesting them not to interfere with the lawful running of his tea shop during late night hours. However, as the same evoked no response, the petitioner has come up with this Writ Petition (Criminal).
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that, it would suffice, if this Court issues a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's 3/7
representation dated 08.10.2025 and to consequently, restrain the respondents from preventing the petitioner from running the tea shop during late night houses.

Learned Government Advocate (crl.Side) appearing for the respondents submitted that subject to the petitioner complying with the conditions stipulated under G.O.(D).No.207, Labour and Welfare and Skill Development Department dated 08.05.2025, appropriate orders will be passed on the petitioner's representation dated 08.10.2025 within the time stipulated by this Court.

In view of the above, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the 3 rd respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 08.10.2025 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, in the light of G.O.(D).No.207 dated 08.05.2025, within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after hearing the petitioner.

7. With the above directions, this Writ petition (Criminal) stands disposed of. No costs.
