ORDER

The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offence punishable under Sections 4(1) (C), 4(1)(A) of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition (Amendment) Act 2024, in Crime No.172 of 2025 seeks anticipatory bail.

2. Earlier this Court dismissed the anticipatory bail in Crl.OP.No.24133 of 2025, by order dated 02.09.2025 observing that the petitioner was found in illegal possession of 25 bottles of brandy with other accused persons. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the co-accused/A1 was arrested and released on bail by the Judicial Magistrate No.1 at Villupuram in CMP.No.2321 of 2025 dated 25.08.2025.

3. Though earlier bail application was dismissed by this Court, learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) reported that in this case final report is filed and the same is taken on file in C.C.No.1893 of 2025 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate - I, Villupuram and the summons has been issued for the 2/4

hearing on 18.02.2026 for the appearance of the petitioner herein. Since the trial Court has taken cognizance under Sections 4(1) (C), 4(1)(A) of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition (Amendment) Act 2024. Considering the same, the petitioner is directed to appear beforer the concerned Court on receipt of summons.
