Writ Petition(Crl.) filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India praying to issue a WRIT OF Certiorarified MANDAMUS calling for the entire records relating to the impugned order passed by the 1st respondent in his proceedings Na.Ka.No.1038/A1/2025, dated 01.09.2025 and quash

the same and consequently to depute the higher officials in the Office of the District Collector, Chennai for conduct proper and fair enquiry and send report to the 2nd respondent.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed challenging the order passed by the first respondent dated 01.09.2025 thereby opined that there was no dowry demand from the counter parties i.e. respondents 3 to 6. 2.

Now, on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, the first respondent conducted detailed enquiry and submitted report. On the strength of the report, now the second respondent registered FIR in crime No.7 of 2025. Further, after completing investigation, final report has been filed before the jurisdictional court concerned and it is pending for taking cognizance. The only point raised by the learned counsel for the petitioner is that though the petitioner made specific allegation against respondents 3 to 6 in respect of dowry demand, the first respondent opined that there was no dowry demand.

However, the learned Counsel for Government of Tamilnadu(Criminal Side) appearing for respondents 1 & 2 submitted that the second respondent registered FIR for the offence punishable under Sections 85, 318(4), 351(2) of BNS and Section 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act. He further submitted that on completion of investigation, final report has been filed.

Recording the above submission, this writ petition is closed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
