ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 04.09.2025 wherein the petitioner is seeking for rectification of the measurement in the FMB sketch with respect to the subject property and to correct the extent of land as 1.62 cents by including 0.62 cents left out in the FMB sketch.

Heard Mr.N.S.Suganathan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.N.Naveen Kumar, learned Government Advocate for respondents.

In the considered view of this Court, before the petitioner undertakes the exercise to correct the FMB sketch, the petitioner has to necessarily seek for the survey of the property based on the title documents that is relied upon by the petitioner. Only after the demarcation of the boundaries, the FMB sketch can be corrected. Hence, liberty is granted to the petitioner to submit an on-line application to the Tahsildhar seeking for the survey of the subject property and on receipt of the application, the survey shall be conducted based on the title documents relied upon by the petitioner. After the survey report is submitted, the petitioner can approach the appropriate authority and seek for the correction in the FMB sketch. 4.

This writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. No costs.
