ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to transfer investigation of the case in Crime No.151 of 2025 from the file of the 2nd respondent to any other competent authority, to conduct a fair and proper investigation in accordance with law.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that the case registered in Crime No.151 of 2025 under the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act has now been investigated by the Sub Inspector of Police.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondents submitted that subsequently by proceedings of the Superintendent of Police, Cuddalore District dated 23.10.2025 in C.No.L2/IO-95/2025, Mr.G.Parthiban, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Tittagudi Sub Division, has been appointed as the investigating officer to investigate the case.

4. In view of the above, the grievance of the petitioner cannot be sustained. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is closed, directing the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Tittagudi Sub Division, to complete the investigation in Crime No.151 of 2025 as per the mandate of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989. 18-11-2025 vum Index:Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order
