ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the learned District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Walajapet to dispose the case in C.C.No.60 of 2021 on the file of learned District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Walajapet expeditiously on day to day basis as fixed by this Court.

2. The grievance of the petitioner / accused is that there is no

progress in CC.No.60 of 2021 on the file of the learned District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Walajapet and therefore the present petition has been filed seeking a direction to the Magistrate for expeditious disposal of the case on day to day basis within a stipulated time fixed by this Court.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent submitted that there are 16 witness in this case. L.W.1 to L.W.4 have been examined and the case now stands posted for examination of L.W.5 to L.W.9 on 26.11.2025 and he would submit that the respondents are ready to produce the witnesses.

4. Though the constitutional Court cannot direct the District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Walajapet to dispose of the case within a fixed time, taking into consideration that the case is pending from the year 2021, a direction is issued to the learned District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Walajapet to complete the trial as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six months from 26.11.2025.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
