The present Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to transfer the investigation in Crime No.141 of 2025 from the file of the third respondent Police to the CB-CID. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner's husband was working in the fourth respondent's company as technical staff and that on 24.05.2025, he died under suspicious circumstances. Based on the complaint given by one Sakthivel, a co-worker, a case in Crime No.141 of 2025 was registered under Section 194 BNSS on 24.05.2025 itself. However, being aggrieved by the lackadaisical investigation done by the third respondent, the present petition has been filed. Learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) submitted that the petitioner's husband was found dead at the construction site for which the fourth respondent company had taken contract. The victim's body 2/5
was subjected to postmortem and the cause of death was found to be electrocution. He further submitted that the respondent Police are continuing with the investigation and that the final report will be filed within one month.
Having heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused and the materials available on record and taking into consideration the grievance of the petitioner, this Court directs the third respondent Police to complete the investigation and file the final report within a period of one month and the first respondent shall monitor the investigation. 5.
With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
