Prayer:- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to classify the petitioners husband Somu @ Somasundaram Convict prisoner No.571 ,now confined in Central Prison-I, Puzhal, Chennai as A Class prisoner and consequently provide the petitioner husband with the amenities that A Class Prisoner is entitled to.

(Order of the Court was made by N.SATHISH KUMAR, J.) This writ petition has been filed directing the respondents to classify the petitioners husband Somu @ Somasundaram, Convict prisoner No.571, now confined in Central Prison-I, Puzhal, Chennai as A Class prisoner and consequently provide the petitioner husband with the amenities that A Class Prisoner is entitled to.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor and perused the materials placed on record.

3. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court, 2/4

without expressing any view or opinion with regard to the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 31.10.2025 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.

4. With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
