ORDER
This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioners representation dated 27.9.2025 to conduct enquiry to correct the name of the petitioners husband as MUMMIDI DURGARAO and mention the correct gender as MALE and correct petitioner name as MUMMIDI LAKSHMI in the death certificate of the petitioners husband.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner's husband died on 21.12.2018. The Chennai Corporation has given a death certificate on 24.12.2019 by mentioning the name as Mummdi Durgarao instead of Mummidi Durga Rao and also wrongly mentioned his gender as Female instead of Male and also wrongly mentioned the petitioner name as Venkatalakshmi instead if Mummidi Lakshmi. Hence, she gave a representation to the respondent to correct the mistakes as above and till date, no action has been taken. Hence, the present writ petition.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court may
direct the respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioners representation within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.
4. The learned counsel appearing for the respondent submitted that the representation will be considered and orders will be passed within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.
5. Heard the learned counsel for both side and perused the materials available on record.
6. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and in view of the limited request sought for by the petitioner, this court directs the first respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 27.09.2025 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
7. With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. 17-11-2025
