ORDER

This criminal original petition has been filed seeking to set aside the charge sheet filed in S.C.No.91 of 2025 on the file of the Additional District Court, Hosur.

The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that though the petitioners have instituted the present petition seeking to quash the proceedings in S.C.No.91 of 2025, they are not pressing the same. It is submitted that the petitioners would instead request this Court to issue a direction to the Additional District Court, Hosur, to expedite and complete the trial in S.C.No.91 of 2025 within a prescribed period that may be fixed by this Court.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first respondent submits that there are, in total, twelve witnesses in this case. He further submits that the matter now stands posted on 05.01.2026 for framing of charges.

4. In the light of the aforesaid submissions, this criminal original petition stands disposed of with a direction to the Additional District Court, Hosur, to complete the trial in S.C.No.91 of 2025 as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six months from 05.01.2026. 2/4
