The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to re-fix the pay of the petitioner by adopting the 2.57 multiplier/matrix on par with the 7th pay Revision from the date of promotion, with all consequential increments, and to revise the terminal benefits and pension accordingly; further directing the respondents to disburse the difference in pay and pension arrears along with interest at the rate of 6% per annum, in the light of the Judgment passed in W.A.(MD) No.1099 of 2024 dated 04.07.2024, confirming the order in W.P.(MD) No.3609 of 2020 dated 20.06.2023.
2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner made representation dated 18.11.2024 to the respondents seeking to re-fix the pay of the petitioner by adopting the 2.57 multiplier/matrix on par with the 7th pay Revision from the date 2/4
of promotion, with all consequential increments, and to revise the terminal benefits and pension accordingly, however, there is no response. Hence, this Court may without going into the merits of the case, issue direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.11.2024 and to pass appropriate orders, within a reasonable time frame.
3.Considering the limited relief now sought for by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.11.2024, on merits and in accordance with law and to pass appropriate orders, as expeditiously as possible.
