ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed challenging the order of suspension issued by the 3rd respondent dated 22.08.2025.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.
3. While the petitioner was working as a Supervisor in TASMAC Shop No.7477, Natchinampatti, Salem District, an inspection was conducted on 26.07.2025. On the date of inspection, the petitioner was absent unauthorisedly without submitting any leave letter and without informing any superior officer. Consequently, the petitioner was placed under suspension. That apart, the Salesman who was on duty was also suspended on the allegation that he sold liquor bottles at an excess rate of Rs.10 per bottle.
4. It appears that, upon knowing about the inspection, the petitioner cleverly absented himself from duty without submitting any leave letter or Page No.2/5
giving any intimation. Therefore, this Court finds no illegality or infirmity in the order of suspension passed by the 3rd respondent dated 22.08.2025.
5. Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands dismissed. However, the petitioner is at liberty to submit a representation seeking review or reconsideration of the order of suspension and upon receipt of the same the 3rd respondent is directed to dispose of the same on merits and in accordance with law. No costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
