The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 1/4

10.10.2025 for the alleged offence under Section 4 of TNPHW Act, 11(i) r/w 12 of POCSO Act, 2012 in Crime No.53 of 2025 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent police reiterated the prosecution case and, on instructions, submitted that during the course of investigation, the offence has been altered to one under the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.

3. Considering the above, the petitioner is directed to withdraw this petition and file a fresh petition before the appropriate forum.

4. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
