No.Gail/Open/Law/1/ 2025 qua restricting the eligibility to lawyers working in large law firms (having annual turnover more than ten crores) as unconstitutional, arbitrary, discriminatory and violative of Articles 14, 16 and 19(1)(g) of the Constitution of India 1950.

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Application has been moved seeking correction of the typographical error in the order dated 20.11.2025.

2. It is stated that name of the counsel for petitioner has been wrongly recorded as counsel representing the respondent. In view of the above, the order dated 20.11.2025 is recalled.

3. At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner Mr.M.N.Kathir, now appears as counsel for the petitioner and submits that the petitioner does not intend to press the petition and he may be permitted to withdraw.

4. The prayer is allowed. The petition is dismissed as withdrawn. There will be no order as to costs. Consequently, WMP Nos.49457, 49459 of 2025 are closed.
