Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, To direct the 2nd respondent / district Registrar (Administration) Mayiladuthuria, to conduct a detailed enquiry under Section 68 (2) 83 of the Registration Act, 1908, in to the fraudulent registration of temple land comprised in Survey No.282 /5, Thiruvelvikudi village, registered as Doc. Nos.78/1996 and 79 /1996 based on the representation sent by the petitioner dated 04/08/2025 (ii) Subsequently direct the 2nd respondent / District Registrar (Administration) Mayiladuthurai, to initiate disciplinary and penal action against the erring officials under Section 82 of the Registration Act 1908.

ORDER
This writ petition has been filed to direct the 2nd respondent to conduct a detailed enquiry in respect to the fraudulent registration of subject temple land based on the representation sent by the petitioner dated 04.08.2025 and subsequently, direct the 2nd respondent to initiate disciplinary and penal action against the erring officials under Section 82 of the Registration Act 1908.
2. Mr.R.Sasikumar, learned Government Advocate, takes notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 3. Mr.S.Ravichandran, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice on behalf of the respondents 4 & 7. Mr.L.Baskaran, learned Government Advocate, takes notice on behalf of the respondents 5 & 6.
3. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition has been taken up for disposal at the stage of admission itself. 3/8
4. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that in this case, the subject land was donated by one Alamelu Ammal to the 7th respondent-Temple vide settlement deed dated 08.02.1957. However, the 8th and 9th respondent had fabricated the fraudulent sale deeds in respect of the aforesaid subject land and made an attempt to register the same before the 3rd respondent. Therefore, the petitioner, being a resident devotee of the village, had filed a detailed representation dated 04.08.2025 before the 2nd respondent, requesting him to conduct an enquiry and cancel the aforesaid forged documents. However, the said representation was not at all considered by the 2nd respondent till date. Hence, this petition.
5. In reply, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner's representation will be considered within a period of 4 weeks.

6. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents and also perused the entire materials available on record.
7. In the case on hand, the subject land was donated by one Alamelu Ammal to the 7th respondent-Temple vide settlement deed dated 08.02.1957. 8. In view of the above, this Court directs the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 04.08.2025 and dispose of 5/8
the same on merits and in accordance with law within a period of 4 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
9. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No cost.
