O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to disburse of the compensation for the land acquired in survey Nos.47/4C, 62/2 and 62/3 of Kakavilsavarnni Village, Needamangalam Taluk by considering the representation dated 24.10.2025.

2. Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the respondents 1, 2 & 4. Mr.Su.Srinivasan, learned Standing Counsel takes notice on behalf of third respondent. By consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

3. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner's property comprised in S.Nos.47/4C, 62/2 and 62/3 of Koilvenni, Needamangalam Taluk, Thiruvarur District was acquired by the second respondent for the extension of National Highway No.67 (Nagapattinam-Thanjavur Highway) and compensation was also determined at a sum of Rs.33,27,024.79/-. However, the said compensation was not disbursed to the petitioner. Therefore, the petitioner made a representation dated 24.10.2025, seeking disbursement of compensation. But, till date the compensation was not disbursed to the petitioner. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with the present writ petition.

4. Though many grounds have been raised in this writ petition, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that, it would suffice, if this Court issues direction to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 24.10.2025.

5. Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1, 2 & 4 submitted that the petitioner's representation dated 24.10.2025 would be considered and appropriate orders passed, within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

6. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

7. Considering the limited relief sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court without going into the merits of the case, directs the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation

dated 24.10.2025, after issuing due notice and opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as aggrieved persons, if any and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With the aforesaid direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
