This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to quash the proceedings against the petitioner in C.C.No.29 of 2018, on the file of the Judicial Magistrate Additional Mahila Court, Salem. 1 / 4

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the dispute between the neighbours relating to parking has been exaggerated and a false case has been foisted against the petitioner. He further submitted that a simple dispute has been projected as a case of assault, alleging that the de facto complainant sustained grievous injuries. He also submitted that a counter case is pending between the parties and placed reliance on the medical report to contend that the allegations are exaggerated. 3.

Per contra, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police submitted that charges have already been framed against the petitioner.

At this juncture the learned counsel for the petitioner sought permission of this Court to withdraw the present petition. However, he prayed that the presence of the petitioner before the trial Court may be dispensed with.

In view of the submission and the endorsement made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Criminal Original Petition is 2 / 4

dismissed as withdrawn. However, taking into consideration the submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner, the personal appearance of the petitioner before the trial Court is dispensed with. Consequently, Crl.M.P.No.24372 of 2025 is ordered accordingly and Crl.M.P.No.24371 of 2025 is closed.
