Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to consider the petitioner's representation dated 13.03.2025 directing the third respondent to transfer the petitioner's husband namely Rajini @ Parthiban, son of Rathinam, aged 45 years, Life Convict No.4329, detained at Central Prison, Vellore to the 4th Respondent Central Prison, Puzhal - I, Chennai. (Order of the Court was made by N. SATHISH KUMAR, J.) This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 13.03.2025 seeking transfer of petitioner's husband namely Rajini @ Parthiban, son of Rathinam, aged 45 years, Life Convict No.4329, now detained at Central Prison, Vellore to Central Prison, Puzhal - I, Chennai.
2. The learned counsel for petitioner submits that the petitioner is suffering from paralytic attack and hence, she is unable visit her husband at Central Prison, Vellore, which is 150 kilometers away from her residence and hence, seeks transfer of convict prisoner from Central Prison, Vellore to Central Prison I, Puzhal. In this regard, the petitioner has sent a representation to the respondents and seeks for a direction to the respondents to consider the same.
3. In view of the limited prayer sought for in this writ petition, this writ petition is disposed of directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 13.03.2025 on it own merits and pass appropriate orders within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
