ORDER
This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the third respondent to act upon the recommendation made by the fourth respondent through communication dated 29.10.2024 and to correct the extent of the property as 257.3 sq.mts. instead of 216 sq.mts. in the Town Survey Land Register pertaining to the subject property.
2. Heard Mr.K.Magesh, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.Vadivelu Deenadayalan, learned Government Advocate appearing for respondents.
3. The case of the petitioner is that he is the owner of the subject property by virtue of a registered sale deed dated 01.12.1976. Thereafter, a rectification deed was also executed on 27.03.2023 with respect to the mistake that had crept in to the schedule of the property. The grievance of the petitioner is that the fourth respondent issued a Town Survey Land Register by showing the extent of the property as 216 sq.mts. instead of 2/4
257.3 sq.mts. Hence, the petitioner sent several representations in this regard. A recommendation was also made by fourth respondent through communication dated 29.10.2024. Even thereafter, there was no progress. It is under these circumstances, the present writ petition came to be filed before this Court.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to third respondent to act upon the representation made by the petitioner by taking into consideration the communication made by the fourth respondent dated 29.10.2024 and do the needful within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
