O R D E R
This writ petition has been filed for the issue of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents 1 and 2 to dispose of the representation made by the petitioner on 27.09.2025, wherein, the petitioner is seeking for cancellation of patta that has been granted in the name of the respondents 5 and 6. 2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 to 4 and perused the materials placed before this Court.
3.The case of the petitioner is that he is the absolute owner of the subject 2/5
property through a Settlement Deed dated 24.03.2023 registered as document No.1366 of 2023 on the file of the SRO, Tiruvannamalai. According to the petitioner, the respondents 5 and 6 encroached the road that was lying on the western side of the petitioner's property and thereafter, managed to get patta, by including the property of the petitioner also. Under such circumstances, representations were made for cancellation of the said patta. In the meantime, it also came to light that the respondents 5 and 6 have managed to get patta for a poramboke land, as if it is a patta land by including them. Since the representations were not considered, the present writ petition has been filed. 4.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to the petitioner to submit an application before the Revenue Divisional Officer, Tiruvannamalai, enclosing necessary documents along with a copy of this order and on receipt of the same, after affording opportunity to the petitioner and the 3/5
respondents 5 and 6, the Revenue Divisional Officer, Tiruvannamalai, shall pass orders on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of application from the petitioner. This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs. 26.11.2025 gya Index : Yes/No 4/5
