ORDER
By consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. Mr.M. Rajendiran, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents.
2. The petitioner belongs to the Scheduled Caste Community and has applied for allotment of a free house site patta under a scheme. Subsequently, he redressed his grievances by way of representation dated 29.10.2025 as well as by sending communications through RTI on 30.04.2025. It is the grievance of the petitioner that till date, neither the aforesaid representations were considered nor any steps taken by the respondents for allotment of house site patta in favour of the petitioner. In such circumstances, he has come up with this writ petition.
3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is entitled for allotment of a free house site patta under the welfare scheme meant 2/4
for the Schedule Caste Community and therefore, he prays for issuance of a direction by this Court to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation and pass appropriate orders, within a time frame.
4. Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner's representations would be considered in accordance with the applicable rules and scheme guidelines.
5. Recording the submissions made by learned counsel on either side, this Court directs the 4th respondent to consider the petitioner's representations dated 29.10.2024 and 30.04.2025 seeking allotment of a free house site patta, in accordance with law and the relevant Government scheme, and pass appropriate orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the aforesaid directions, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
