This writ petition has been filed for direction to the respondents to pay revised gratuity and pensionary benefits to the petitioners based on adding three year Training period and to pay the arrears along with interest at the rate of 6 % per annum in the light of Judgement passed by this court on 18.7.2024 in WP No.18756 of 2024.

2. The case of the petitioner is that she joined the services of the respondent Transport Corporation as Helper (Non-Technical) on 20.03.1997. On successful completion of three years training period, she was absorbed into regular monthly cadre with effect from 01.04.2000. Thereafter, on attaining the age of superannuation, she retired from service on 31.05.2023. The grievance of the petitioner is that the respondents have not included the aforementioned three years training period for the purpose of payment of service gratuity. Hence, the petitioner made a representation to the respondent on 27.06.2025 to pay 2/6

revised gratuity and pensionary benefits to the petitioner based on adding three year Training period and to pay the arrears along with interest at the rate of 6 % per annum. However, no action has been taken by the respondents till date. Hence this petition.

3.

This issue was already dealt with by this Court in WP No.18756 of 2024 and by order dated 18.7.2024, this Court directed the respondents therein to disburse the revised gratuity by adding the training period. Therefore, the same direction is passed in this writ petition as well.

4.

Accordingly, the respondents are directed to disburse the revised gratuity by adding the aforementioned training period into service, difference in leave salary, revised pension and arrears of pension with 6% interest, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of this order.
