Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records on the file of the 2nd respondent to quash Impugned Grant of license vide Order dated 10.09.2025 and consequently direct the respondents to remove the Cell Tower erected at Kattankotlathur, Selliyamman Koil Street, Ward No.6, Maraimalai Nagar Municipality, Chengalpattu District 603 203, to some other place in accordance with law, and further provide for implementation of public grievance redressal mechanism under the Tamil Nadu Telecom Infrastructure Policy 2022. ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Irrespective of various issues raised in this petition, we find that the petition, in the nature of public interest litigation, is not maintainable because the petitioner has chosen to file this public interest litigation only in a selective manner when the 4th cell tower in the same vicinity came to be erected. The complaints, if any made, would subject to consideration and enquiry by the local authority. Petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
