ORDER
This writ petition (Criminal) has been filed to direct the respondents to refrain from taking any coercive steps under the Foreigners Act, including detention in the Special Camp and to permit the petitioner to reside in India along with his family.
2.When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned Govt. Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner is a Sri Lankan national. The Bureau of Immigration (MHA), has passed Movement Restriction Order dated 27.10.2025 under sub-section (2) of Section 7 of the Immigration and Foreigners' Act, 2025 and under para 08 of the Immigration and Foreigners' Order, 2025 against the petitioner, who is a Sri Lankan national. Further, the Superintendent of Police, Tirupathur District has been directed to execute the said order and to provide escort to the foreigner from his place of residence to the Foreigners Detention Centre, Tiruchirappalli. The third respondent is acting as per the orders of the Bureau of Immigration (MHA).
3.At this juncture, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that he may be granted liberty to challenge the order of the Bureau of Immigration (MHA).
4.Recording the submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Govt. Advocate (Crl.Side), this petition stands closed.
