PRAYER The Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to take action on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 02.06.2025 and 28.07.2025 in accordance with law to prevent illegal mining of land from the petitioner's patta land For Petitioner :

ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to take action on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 02.06.2025 and 28.07.2025 in accordance with law to prevent illegal mining of land from the petitioner's patta land.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is the owner of the properties in S.Nos. 234/3A1 and 234/5A1 and patta was issued in the petitioner's name in Patta No.5556. However, in the patta land, certain unauthorized persons have been excavating sand. Objecting the same, the petitioner submitted representations before the 1st respondent on 02.06.2025 and 28.07.2025. However, no action has been taken till date. Hence, he is constrained to file the present Writ Petition.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as the respondents and perused the materials placed before this Court.

4. Considering the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the representation, directs the third respondent/

the Tahsildar, Villupuram, to consider the petitioner's representations dated 02.06.2025 and 28.07.2025 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after issuing notice to the petitioner and also affording him an opportunity of personal hearing, within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
