ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by N.Sathish Kumar J.) This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to grant 21 days of ordinary leave to the petitioner's daughter, namely, Jothi @ Nagajothi.

2. According to the petitioner, her daughter was convicted under Section 8(c) r/w. 20(b),(ii), (c) and 8(c) r/w.29(1) of the NDPS Act and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for 10 years for each offence. She has been in prison since 2021. The petitioner is taking care of the detenue's two daughters.

Since, the petitioner is suffering from a heart problem, doctors have advised her to undergo surgery. Hence, on 13.10.2025, the petitioner sent a representation to the respondents seeking 21 days ordinary leave for her daughter/detenue. As the said representation has not been considered so far, the present petition has been filed.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner's representation has already been rejected on 23.10.2025.

4. In such view of the matter, it is for the petitioner to challenge the said order of rejection in the manner known to law. Accordingly, this writ petition (criminal) stands dismissed.
