ORDER

The petitioner/wife seeks transfer of HMOP No.3410 of 2025 from the file of II Additional Family Court at Chennai to Family Court, Vellore. 1/4

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner/wife is diagnosed with Stage IV Cancer and she resigned her job due to her ailment and as on date she is living with her parents and the learned counsel also submits that due to her ailment, she finds it difficult to travel from Vellore to Chennai to attend the proceedings. Therefore, she has filed the present petition seeking for transfer.

3. Learned counsel for the respondent submits that the respondent is employed at Chennai and therefore, he raised an objection for transfer.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is inclined to transfer HMOP No.3410 of 2025 from the file of II Additional Family Court, Chennai to Family Court, Vellore.

5. Accordingly, Tr.C.M.P.No.1295 of 2025 is allowed and the proceedings in HMOP No.3410 of 2025 is withdrawn from the file of II Additional Family Court, Chennai and the same is transferred to Family Court, Vellore. 2/4

6. Learned counsel on either side submit that the matter may be referred to Mediation. In view of the above submission, the matter is referred to Mediation and Conciliation Centre at Vellore and the parties are directed to appear before the Mediation and Concilaition Centre, Vellore on 24.06.2026 and respondent/husband shall appear through video conferencing and shall appear in person as and when required. The Mediation and Conciliation Centre, Vellore shall conclude the proceedings expeditiously and post the matter before the Regular Court/Family Court, Vellore on 21.07.2026.

7. The II Additional Family Court, Chennai is directed to send the entire records relating to HMOP No.3410 of 2025 within two weeks to the file of Family Court, Vellore forthwith and the Family Court, Vellore is directed to send the entire records to Mediation and Conciliation Centre at Vellore.
