O R D E R
The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the fifth respondent to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 06.10.2025 and pass order on the same and restrict the respondents from shifting the transformer or erecting any other electric equipments close to the compound wall of the petitioners' residential building which is likely to cause threat to human lives and property, depriving their basic rights and peaceful living in the society.
2. Heard the learned counsels on either side. With the consent of both sides, the Writ Petition is taken up for hearing at the admission stage itself. Since no adverse order has been passed against the sixth respondent, notice to the sixth respondent is dispensed with.

The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners are the residents of MM Flats, AGS Colony, Velachery and the sixth respondent, who is the adjacent owner of an apartment having 40 flats have proposed to shift the large transformer used by their residents to the frontage area of the petitioners' building without their consent. He further
submitted that the petitioners herein made a representation to the fifth respondent on 06.10.2025 in this regard stating their objections, however, no order has been passed and hence, the present Writ Petition.
4. The learned counsel appearing for the respondents' Board submitted that they have erected one pole, however, transformer is not shifted.

Considering the submissions made on either side, this Court directs the fifth respondent to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 06.10.2025 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. He is directed to consider any alternative location for the pole erected, in the manner known to law. Till such time, the respondents are directed to maintain status quo as on date.
6. With the above directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. There shall be no orders as to costs.
