ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a mandamus seeking for a direction to the respondents to correct the alleged erroneous entry in the UDR 'A' register for the property more fully described in the prayer to this writ petition and thereafter to issue patta in the names of the legal heirs of late Kenchappa, as per the Legal Heirship Certificate, based on the petitioner's representation dated 07.08.2025.

2.The petitioner seeks for correction of the alleged erroneous entry in the UDR 'A' register for the property more fully described in the prayer to this writ petition and consequently, seeks for issuance of patta in the names of the legal heirs of the late Kenchappa, as per the Legal Heirship Certificate. The petitioner has given a representation on 07.08.2025 to the respondents for the said purpose. Since the said representation has not been considered till date, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

3.Earlier, notice was issued to the respondents by this Court. Till date, counter has not been filed by the respondents.

4.No prejudice would be caused to the respondents if the petitioner's representation, as stated supra, is considered, on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 5.This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's representation.

6.For the foregoing reasons, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the 4th respondent to pass final orders, on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner's representation dated 07.08.2025 seeking for correction of the alleged erroneous entry said to have been made in the UDR 'A' register for the property more fully described in the prayer to this writ petition and if the 4th respondent finds that an erroneous entry has been made, the 4th respondent is directed to consider the petitioners' request for grant of patta in favour of the legal heirs of late Kenchappa, as per the Legal Heirship Certificate within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
