O R D E R

The present Writ Petition (Criminal) has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to redact/remove the name of the petitioner from its portal, reflected therein on account of the conviction and fine remitted by the petitioner in C.C.No(s). 489, 490, 501 and 503 on the file of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Chengalpattu.

When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned Senior Panel Counsel appearing for the respondent submitted that the respondent, National Crime Records Bureau, has not given any request to post the petitioner's photograph on the portal. The order has been passed by office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Special Branch, Thane, with whom the respondent has no connection.

Recording the submissions made by the learned Senior Panel Counsel appearing for the respondent, National Crime Records Bureau, this Writ Petition (Criminal) stands closed. However, the petitioner is at liberty to proceed against the order of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Special Branch, Thane. No costs.
