O R D E R

The present Writ Petition (Criminal) has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to provide police protection, based on the petitioners' representation dated 08.10.2025. Mr.K.M.D.Muhilan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, takes notice on behalf of the respondents.

In view of the consent expressed by the learned counsel on either side, this Writ Petition (Criminal) is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that there exists a property dispute between the petitioners and one Kalamegam and three others, due to which the petitioners are unable to effect division of their property. It was further submitted that the said opposite parties are preventing the revenue official from surveying the property. Therefore, the petitioners sent a representation dated 08.10.2025 to the respondent police. Since no action has been taken on the said representation, the present petition has been filed.

Learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that based on the petitioners' representation dated 08.10.2025, the second respondent police has been conducting an enquiry in C.No.N/R/66/500/2025 and that the a due enquiry would be conducted and the same would be disposed of within a period of four weeks.

Recording the submissions made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Court directs the petitioners to appear before the second respondent on 19.01.2026. The second respondent shall conduct the enquiry and dispose of the petitioners' representation dated 08.10.2025 within a period of four weeks from 19.01.2026. 7.

With the above directions, this Writ Petition (Criminal) stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
