This application has been filed under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (Act No.26 of 1996) seeking for extension of the period for completion of pleadings and for passing final award by the Arbitral Tribunal.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the applicant and the learned counsel for the respondent.

3. It is brought to the notice of this Court that the statement of claim and statement of defence have already been filed and it is at the stage of filing of rejoinder for statement of defence filed by the respondent, wherein the respondent has sought for counter claim.

4. Taking into consideration the above submission, the mandate is extended for a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, for passing the final award.
