ORDER
This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking to direct 1 st respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 07.04.2025 and to reconvey the subject bhoodan land and accept the alternative land offered for an equal extent by the petitioner.
2.Mr.G.Velu, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice on behalf of the respondents. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.
3.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. 4.The grievance of the petitioner before this Court is that the petitioner made a representation dated 07.04.2025 to the 1 st respondent, whereby, he request to exchange the subject land to an extent of 19.8 acres in Ponnapuram Village, Dharapuram Taluk, Tiruppur District in S.No.1179, which was donated by the petitioner's ancestors, with an alternative land of equal extent and equal value under the provisions of Section 17-A of the Tamil Nadu Bhoodan Yagna Act, 1958. However, the same has not been considered by the 1 st respondent, so far.
5.This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, as it is for the 1 st respondent to consider and decide the same on merits and in accordance with law. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of, only by directing the 1 st respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 07.04.2025 and pass orders on the same on
merits and in accordance with law. Such exercise shall be carried out by the respondents within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
