Respondents PRAYER : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of certiorari to call for records of the 6th respondent relating to proceeding in Na.Ka.No.1782/2023/A2 dated 10.04.2023 and quash the same and consequently direct the 2nd respondent to reclassify as "Pillayar Maniyam" in Survey No.94/11, Athivakkam Madhura, Kilkandai Village, Madhuranthakam Taluk, Chengalpattu District.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard learned counsel for the parties.

2. Challenge to the order dated 10.04.2023 is misconceived and hit by laches. No satisfactory explanation has been given as to why the petitioner did not challenge the order dated 10.04.2023 earlier. Moreover, the issue of classification/re-classification is in the realm of the revenue authorities and cannot be considered by the writ court.

3. The petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
